Mr. Peter Alexander Beckerley

Profile

Peter qualified as a Solicitor in l989.

He has a wide-ranging experience of both commercial litigation and all aspects of personal injury litigation. In the area of personal injury his key fields are employer and public liability, having successfully taken an occupiers liability dispute to the Court of Appeal for an insurer client on a case which is now regularly cited.

In the area of commercial litigation, he has acted for private clients in all manner of complex contractual disputes as well as in matters of public policy. He was involved in the newsworthy Staffordshire litigation, which concerned the involvement of management companies within the police scheme of the removal of abandoned vehicles, which was successfully resolved via mediation but acted as a necessary catalyst for change.

Peter has since continued with his interest and involvement in the vehicle recovery industry, and now heads the Vehicle Recovery department which services a number of insurers and large companies. In this respect, he contributes to the Insurance Forum in Lloyds hosted by Rausa Mumford's key business partner Auto-Rescue Logistics Ltd.

Peter has a Masters Degree in Insurance & Contractual Law and has spent a period as a Senior Lecturer in Nottingham Trent University. His academic background has proved useful in assisting insurance clients with complex issues of policy, indemnity and contract law.
